Implementing AR filter to Digital Assets

To enhance public engagement, the Sarawak Tourism Board (STB) sought to introduce new digital assets in the form of mascots. Their goal was to make these mascots accessible and usable on Instagram, allowing users to interact with them through augmented reality (AR) filters. This initiative aimed to increase visibility and engagement with STB’s brand by leveraging popular social media platforms.

Involvement

  • Gather requirements from the designer in charge.
  • Liaise with the designer to ensure the digital assets align with STB’s branding and usability goals.
  • Convert the digital assets into AR experiences using Meta Spark.
  • Test and deploy the AR filters for public use on Instagram.

Outcome

  • Successfully created interactive AR filters featuring STB’s mascots, enhancing public engagement.
  • Increased STB’s social media presence and brand visibility through user-generated content on Instagram.
  • Provided STB with a modern digital tool to connect with their audience in a fun and innovative way.
  • Ensured a smooth and user-friendly experience for the public, leading to positive feedback and higher usage rates.

MYHackathon 2022 (2 Cohorts)

MYHackathon is Malaysia’s national scale hackathon involving not only technopreneurs, innovators and subject matter experts but also concerned Malaysians from all walks of life, to come together to co-create digital solutions that will help improve the delivery of key government’s services.

Involvement

  • Design and establish website and event management web solution
  • Conceptualise and design the web architecture for deployment and development mainly using AWS ecosystem.
  • Design and manage an event management web solution to manage participants, mentors and judges

Outcome

  • Up to 350 participating team.
  • Make winning solutions a reality.
  • Ensure a smooth hackathon among participating team, mentors, judges and organising committee

Juh Digital Bootcamp 2022

Juh Digital Bootcamp is a digital marketing program for the community that is fully funded by the Sarawak government. Instructors at this Juh Digital Bootcamp will teach on how to improve digital presence for businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Involvement

  • Design and establish website and event management web solution
  • Conceptualise and design the web architecture for deployment and development mainly using AWS ecosystem.
  • Design and manage an event management web solution to manage participants, mentors and judges

Outcome

  • Promote digital innovation and entrepreneurship in Sarawak
  • Empower mSME with the latest digital marketing skills

Go Digital Sarawak 2022

GoDigital Sarawak initiative provides Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (mSMEs) involved in Digital Entrepreneurship with a grant to purchase hardware and software with a value of up to RM10,000.00.

Involvement

  • Design and establish website as a grant application website
  • Set up web tracking and web analysis (events and conversion)

Outcome

  • More than 3,500 applications received
  • Assisted SDEC to register more than 4,500 users

Content Performance Monitoring Dashboard

The Content Performance Monitoring Dashboard is a custom-built system created to help digital editorial teams better understand the impact of their work. This dashboard tracks over 30 articles published daily and monitors the performance of more than 10 active writers. It also connects to five major advertising platforms to provide insights on revenue, allowing teams to identify which content performs best and make informed decisions for future publishing strategies.

 

Involvement

  • Design and develop an internal dashboard for editorial and content performance tracking
  • Integrate advertising data from 5 major platforms to monitor revenue trends
  • Track article submissions and writer activity across multiple content categories

Outcome

  • Helped the editorial team and business leadership monitor over 30 articles submitted daily
  • Enabled performance tracking for more than 10 active writers
  • Supported revenue insights generation from 5 ad platforms for strategic content planning
